Safeguarding training is mandatory for licensed taxi and private hire drivers because they are in a privileged position of knowing a lot about the communities that they work in and sometimes they are witness to issues relating to vulnerable children and adults. We aim to make Stroud District taxi and private hire drivers aware of these issues and how to report anything that they may notice.
