About Cardiac Rehabilitation
Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation is a community based rehabilitation service that continues on from Phase III.
A Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructor who has been trained by BACPR delivers the programme on behalf of Stroud District Council.
The session format is similar to that of the Phase III with a chance to socialise afterwards.
To attend a class you will need to have a referral form from your health professional.
The cardiac rehabilitation community based exercise programme (phase 4) offers a safe and friendly environment for exercise if you have had:
- A heart attack
- A heart procedure
- Heart surgery

What do I wear?
You will need to wear comfortable loose clothing and flat shoes/trainers and bring a full water bottle. You will need a small towel and if you own one please bring your heart rate monitor.
At home exercises
These 30 day exercise programmes are suitable for people who have attend cardiac rehabilitation classes. The exercises would also be suitable for people who have had any of the following:
• A heart attack
• A heart procedure
• Heart surgery
