Productivity Plan
As part of the Local Government Finance Settlement in December 2023, the Government asked councils to produce productivity plans. The purpose of these plans is to gain an understanding of what is already working well across the country, what the common themes are and whether there are any gaps, and what more the Government needs to do to unlock future opportunities.
This Productivity Plan outlines what Stroud District Council has done, or is doing, to:
- Transform the way that we design and deliver services to make better use of resources;
- Take advantage of advances in technology and make better use of data to improve decision making and service design; and
- Reduce wasteful spend.
It also identifies some barriers where we feel Government can support to further increase productivity, and suggests solutions where relevant.
