Service charges explained

Stroud District Council tenants living in shared spaces such as sheltered schemes or blocks of flats also pay service charges as part of their rent.

As a leaseholder, you will need to pay for some or all of the charges listed here, depending on the type of accommodation you are in.

Service charges cover the cost of:

• estate and block management
• maintenance
• repairs
• buildings insurance
• provision of services
