Update: Brimscombe Port

Stroud District Council continues to work with St Modwen Homes, partners and key stakeholders to progress the Brimscombe Port development. St Modwen Homes and SDC aim to conclude contractual negotiations by the Autumn with a public consultation expected later in the year, prior to finalising the detailed planning application. We will be able to let you know more after the summer holidays. 

Stroud District Council Leader Catherine Braun said: “We appreciate that many people in the surrounding communities have been waiting for this project to come to fruition. Given the financial challenges experienced throughout the construction sector in the past two years, I am pleased that we have been able to work through them to reach this point, and we look forward to seeing much-needed new homes and a new community at this site.”
